The spirit team working with the intention of demonstrating psychic surgery has stepped aside pending the further development of this Medium. They will continue to work with her within the setting of the Spirit Space circle.

Various lighting conditions. 80 minute seance.

Physical medium: Sandy (seated unrestrained in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam.

The Lodge was set up as usual with the sheet-covered couch having the Scole dome beneath. The table was set in the corner, with 'medical' implements laid out. These 'medical' implements are symbolic. There is a small metal kidney shaped dish, two scalpel handles without blades, a medium sized crochet hook, some packets of dried herbs in a basket, some salt in a wooden goblet, water in a metal tankard, two small white china bowls, two shot glasses, some cotton wool pads, a white hand towel.

The seance began as usual, although from the start it seemed that an unfamiliar entity was seated within the cabinet. At one point the medium appeared upset, so Chris asked that the emotion be taken away, this request was promptly granted.

As the customary second piece of music ended, John, the spirit surgeon, did not come forward as expected. Instead the spirit stranger appeared to be having some difficulty with their right leg, and the vessel was sliding from the chair. Chris asked for assistence from the spirit team to come to the aid of the vessel, and to support the visitor. This request received positive response from those within the spirit world.

What was witnessed next is difficult to confirm, but Chris feels that this spirit stranger was supported by John Butler, spirit surgeon, to walk around the Lodge. It was afterwards indicated for Chris to lay on the couch as usual, which she did. The 'blended' spirit surgeons then, along with Arethena spirit nurse, then came towards the bed to treat Chris's deformed finger. This treatment, we have been told, is being carried out within the spirit world. Only when perfected, and when the vessel has reached an appropriate stage in her development, will the operation will take place in our world.

Obviously this is all very difficult to believe! We are sitting on an experimental basis however and simply strive to keep an open mind. At present we are all finding the events here both interesting and baffling!

After this demonstration the medium returned to the cabinet. Again things didn't follow the usual routine. This time it was obvious that another communicator was presenting. This lady had been before. She had last come forward in the Spirit Space circle earlier in the week.

This lady's name is given as Margaret. She is tiny, with a bent back and hunched shoulders. She suffered several strokes within life and had a severely contorted left arm and leg. She was, and is, of strong personality and determined attitude. She comes through to us as she wants to see her daughter Cathy. There is more information about Margaret offered in this weeks Spirit Space reports. This lady spoke of her need to adjust to the reality of continuing life, as she had no belief in this when she lived upon the earth plane. She told us that she is learning to let go of her physical form and the uncomfortable condition suffered within her later life here. She said that she may even choose have long legs now!

Following Margaret's withdrawal Joseph came through. He told us that the new spirit person was a "real surgeon" and that he has done this work before. He appeared impressed by this. When asked this surgeon's name Joseph replied "He won't say, but if he performs the operation and it is succcessful he will give his name then!". Joseph chatted socially for a little longer before indicating the closure of the seance.

An interesting evening, with plenty of thought-provoking display.

March 28th

Physical Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Pam. Dave.

The seance began as usual with two pieces of music being played whilst the energies settled. The Spirit Team came forward, with Joseph's presence being made apparent during this time. Interestingly for viewers, several times, he turned 'his' head and nodded, smiling, to acknowledge the arrival of his team around him.

When the music changed Joseph withdrew to allow John Butler to come forward, although only fleetingly. Unusually a 'strange' entity appeared to be taking control of the vessel. In fact this 'entity' (we were later informed) was a blend of John and Graham. The resulting demonstration was somewhat alarming, as this apparent 'being' appeared to stomp around the room (taking control of the vessel) appearing like something out of a Ghostbuster movie!

Chris was then asked to lay on the couch for this 'being' to approach in order to experiment with her finger. One has to say that at this point Chris was feeling a little wary! However, very soon things returned to a more familiar mode as the spirit people presented their individual personalities.

Later we learned that Graham had wanted to try to 'walk' around the room, in the same way that John is able! It is appears that some Spirit people have different abilities to others.

After the healing experiment Arethena, as is customery, wrote several pages in response to Chris's questions. Arethena said that the healing procedure had been decided, but that the Spirit Team wished to work with other healing methods (within their world) before actually performing the healing of Chris's finger. This would enable the Team to learn more, which would be useful later on for future work.

When Arethena withdrew Bernard came forward for a social chat. He was followed by a new communicator, who told us that he hadn't a name. He described himself as being above such things, and that he was more like a cloud. He kept looking around the room and saying that it was amazing, he hadn't communicated before and hadn't realised how wonderful it was, it was fantastic and beyond belief! He was delighted to have been able to come through in this way. He said that he had been an observer within other Circles many times, but hadn't realised that he could communicate. He thanked us for giving him this opportunity and said he might be back and might not!

Finally Joseph returned and was clearly amused by the previous communicator who he laughingly described as a fairy!

Another fun-filled evening, with a few interesting variations.

March 21st

Physical Medium: Sandy (seated in open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Alan. Dave.

The evening began as usual, with Joseph, Sandy's primary guide, coming forward to welcome us. He then withdrew to allow John Butler (spirit surgeon) and Arethena (spirit nurse) to walk around the lodge a few times, before moving to work upon Chris's finger. These spirit people manipulate the medium's physical body through deep trance control. This was extremelyinteresting as various spirit people came forward to share in the work. Chris recognised Craig White and Joseph amongst others.

Following this demonstration Sandy returned to sit within the open cabinet and Arethena offered information, in her usual handwriting, in response to Chris's questions before withdrawing for awhile. Sitters then watched as 'something' was occuring within the cabinet around the Medium.

It soon it became obvious that Graham and Mike were both present, and that they were both working together with the Medium towards the development of direct voice. As Sandy's trance state appeared to deepen, Anne Butt came forward, and using sign language as is her custom, asked Chris to switch off the clear light and to display red lighting.

When this was effected the sounds relating to direct voice development became more apparent. A wide range of sounds were heard, many of deep tone. No words were clearly heard however. But more phenomena was to come! Both Chris and Alan saw light, to Sandy's right and behind her. Both saw this at the same time.

Sandy then took the stance of her brother Mike (who passed 25 years ago).....before then leaning forward into the light and displaying a face that was undoubtedly male. Momentarily this frightened Alan! Chris has seen this same face displayed previously, on other occasions when sitting with Sandy one-to-one during her development, but without a second witness had regarded the phenomena as being her imagination. Tonight there was no doubt. None of us has witnessed the phenomena known as Transfiguration but now feel it likely that this is what has been displayed here tonight. If this proves, in time, to be an incorrect assumption we shall put it down to our ignorance. After all, we are we are not experts and are finding our way as we go along. Having said this, there is a photograph of Mike within the lodge and we are indeed inclined towards the explanation we suggest.

Shortly after this display Joseph returned to say goodbye and to indicate closure of the seance. Another fantastic evening with many things to be considered further.

March 14th

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam. Margaret.

The evening began as usual, with Joseph's presence obvious from the start. After the close of the first two pieces of music he signed his name, before withdrawing to allow John Butler to come forward. John, with Arethena 'blended' with him, walked twice around the lodge (full trance control of the medium's body), before then sitting down again and signing for Chris to lay on the couch. John and Arethena proceeded to approach the couch and to experiment with the psychic surgery intention. Witnesses recognised other Spirit blending, as they came forward to learn for themselves.

After the demonstration Arethena wrote in response to Chris's questions relating to the surgery intention. Arethena said that the surgical procedure now appears perfect within their world, but they don't know how to transfer their procedures to our world! This is the next step.

As Arethena sat writing she signed that the children were present within the cabinet area. Chris (standing directly beside the cabinet) therefore continued to watch her writing, whilst at the same time keeping an eye on the medium's hair tie. This tie had been tied very tightly into her hair before she sat down, and appeared to be unchanged. However, as Chris watched, this tie simply slid down the medium's hair and fell onto her shoulder! The medium's head had not moved at all during this occurence. Chris therefore has NO doubt that the spirt child, Becca, was responsible for this....but....as she was the only person able to witness this demonstration there must still be some doubt as to the reality of such evidential physical phenomena.

Following Arethena's visit Graham came forward for a short social chat. He told us how much he had enjoyed watching the healing work and how excited the children were. He explained that Becca and Kirstian are 'playing one against the other' wanting to do things.
He said that Kristian had managed to turn one of the balls on the table, using the energy flow as an aid, on Wednesday when they were within the Spirit Space circle. Chris, as a lone witness, had been uncertain whether the ball had been moved or not at the time.

Bernard next came forward. Margaret asked him a question regarding spirit guides. This question received a lengthy but interesting reply. Margaret feels that she'd like another opinion however, so will ask the same question of The Chief when she sits in the Spirits Aloud circle next week.

This evening was amazing. Real progress has been made in many areas.

NOTE: FC has been present since close of seance and is adament that appreciation should be registered for the physical phenomena demonstrated by the Spirit team, and in particular by the two children.

March 7th

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam.

The seance began as usual, with Joseph coming forward as expected. He said that Graham had wanted to come through first, but He had insisted that it His place to be the first communicator.

Joseph chatted for a short time before standing aside to allow John Butler, spirit surgeon, to take physical control of the vessel, along with Arethena, the nurse. Unfortunately, once again Graham attempted to come forward, before stepping back to allow John to take control. As is customary John walked around the Lodge twice before sitting down again and indicating for Chris to lay on the couch. He then stood again and came forward to demonstrate experimental development towards psychic surgery. The team is still working on Chris's finger. During this time Chris felt nothing in particular, but believes it likely that the team are working in ways that are invisible to ourselves. It is all unknown as yet.

The next demonstration came from Arethena, as she sat and wrote in response to questions posed by Chris. These were mostly related to work being carried out in the Spirit Space circle yesterday. Arethena said that the hair tie had been thrown forward from underneath the chair, as Becca was too short to throw it out into the room any other way.

When Arethena left Bernard came forward for a short social chat about the work being carried out on Chris's finger.Graham then came forward and there was some manipulation of the medium's voice box related to the development of direct voice. This demonstration was carried out for only a short time.

Graham afterwards explained that he had wished to be enabled to attempt this work in clear light this evening, though now knew that he preferred to work in red light, as was provided in yesterday's circle at Mike's request. Chris asked Graham about his present lifestyle. In reply he explained that he did not have a house nor any materialistic possessions. He considered them unnecessary and was happy just 'being'.

Joseph finally returned. He chatted about the fact that he had, along with the vessel, been learning that recent research has shown that meat and vegetables are good food. He said that he knew this! He himself knew that to eat meat and plants was good, for he ate buffalo and grubs and he ate and smoked plants. He was delighted to learn that 'we' now know that the Native American's were right.

Joseph continued to socialise a little longer, before indicating for the final music to be played, after which the seance drew to a close.

Another fascinating evening.

February 29th

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pat.

The seance began with Sandy in an altered state of consciousness. Joseph, her guide and the Circle gatekeeper had the giggles and kept making faces within the cabinet! When this occurance had been settled and he withdrew slightly, John Butler came forward. John (through trance control of the vessel) walked around the lodge twice before sitting down to allow Chris to lay on the couch. He then came forward again to stand beside the couch in order to demonstrate the experimental healing of Chris's finger. Various different spirit people came through at that time, each seeming to take a turn in manipulating the finger.

Throughout the experiment there seemed to be conversations going on between invisible people. Various 'medical instruments' were used during this experiment, although Chris's finger appeared unchanged.

When John returned to the cabinet Arethena came forward. She indicated that she wished to write, immediately signing her name in her usual script and then continuing to write in this style. She asked for herbs to be placed upon the table beside the 'medical instruments'. She also described one of the spirit people who had come forward to take a look at the finger experiment. This was a young man, in his early 20's who gave his name as Marcus. He told Arethena that he had lived in Iran and died in a car crash. He was described as a sort of medical student, within the spirit world. He will not be a regular visitor, but may come back now and again.

After this Bernard came through and spoke about the healing of Chris's finger. He explained various ways that it may become healed. He said that this particular experiment was just a beginning. The healing of the finger was a project that allows for development within the spirit world and it will lead to further psychic surgery being carried out that is of far more value.

When Bernard withdrew, for the first time, Graham came forward to introduce himself.He just wanted to say how much he's enjoying his work with the Spirit Team. He explained that he is working with Mike (in the Spirit Space circle) towards the enablement of direct voice.

Finally Joseph came through and after a bit of teasing and joking he said that eh vessel was tired and that the seance should be closed. We therefore played the final two pieces of music and the evening was ended.

February 15th

The evening began as usual with Joseph coming forward for a chat. He spoke of his sending healing energy towards a lady who has been admitted to Hospital locally. He said that he doesn't know if it'll work, but it was worth a try! It seems that Spirit people don't have all the answers and are learning also.

After awhile Joseph withdrew to allow John Butler to come forward, along with Arethena. These two, in blended form, walked around the room 'within' the vessel. This explanation is rather difficult to understand, and needs to be seen to be considered as a reality. After walking around the room twice they indicated for Chris to lay on the couch for the experimental healing of her finger. This too is hard to explain as in fact the finger remains unchanged. However, there is a demonstration of trance mediumship with various changes that are indicative of changes of personality, as different Spirit people come through to learn and experiment. The intention is for physical healing, through psychic surgery, to become sufficiently developed for witnessed demonstration to take place. Time will tell.

Following this experiment Arethena came forward to write responses to questions. Afterwards Bernard came forward to speak with us. Both Spirit people chatted about a newcomer, described as an observer by the name of Graham, who has been here before. He was an undertaker. Neither Arethena nor Bernard seemed to know why he is here or what his purpose is for coming. Finally towards to end of the seance Graham tried to communicate, but was unsuccessful. Instead Joseph returned to explain to us that Graham is actually going to be working with the 'Spirit Space' circle here, as he feels an interest in assisting with direct voice. He has been observing both circles for several weeks and has now decided what he'd like to do. Joseph indicated that he was responsible for settling this matter and himself who negotiated this arrangement.

Another interesting evening enjoyed by all....

February 8th

Sitters and witnesses: Chris.Dave.Pam.Norah.

The seance began as usual. Within moments of sitting the Medium was in trance state and her guide and the circle gatekeeper Joseph seemed to be welcoming 'the team' as they settled around him. As the introductory music closed Joseph indicated that he wanted to sign his name...before then withdrawing to allow John Butler, the surgeon, to come forward.

John walked around the room, controlling the vessels' physical body to do so. Arethena was with him and as usual indicated that she was taking some interest in the decorations.After walking around the Lodge twice, John seated the vessel in the cabinet whilst Chris took her place on the couch, ready for healing experiment to begin. John 'with' Arethena then came to stand beside the bed and worked with Chris's finger. It was evident that other Spirit people came to work also, or to observe the proceedings. Chris felt 'changes' occuring 'within' her finger as there was 'clicking' and 'movement' beneath the skin. However, after the experiment, upon self-examination the finger appeared as before and unchanged.

When the healing experiment ended Arethena sat to communicate through writing. She joked with Chris about having an undertaker on standby! The undertaker she referred to is known to us as Graham. He has been an observer for some time now, but has not yet come forward to tell us anything about himself or his purpose for coming. Whilst discussing the healing experiment with Arethena Chris asked if the Team require any provision, from our side, not yet available. Arethena said that John wanted a small amount of water. This will therefore be put in place for next week.

Bernard later came forward for a chat, telling us that his social life has greatly improved since he has been working with the spirit team here. He says he and his lady friend, who he met here, spend hours reading together in the library at his home. In response to a question from Dave he said that he had lived just one lifetime upon the earth plane and this was enough, he doesn't want another. In response to a question from Chris,he told us that we look dull to him, dull coloured and unclear, although he can just about see our features. He went on to say, following a question from Dave, that there is life on other planets, but none like ourselves.

This evening proved to be interesting, particularly to Norah, who hasn't been to a seance before. We are all looking forward to next week. Unfortunately Norah will be returning to her home town, which is too far away to allow her regular attendence here.

February 1st

Mainly clear lighting conditions but red lighting upon Spirits request.

80 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (seated within open cabinet)Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam. Michelle.

The evening began with sitters remaining quiet through the first two pieces of music whilst the Spirit Team settled around the Medium within the cabinet. At the end of the second piece of music Joseph came forward and responded to Chris's welcome. He signed his name and then withdrew in order to enable John Butler to take control.

As usual John walked around the room a couple of times before indicating for Chris to lay on the couch. He then stepped out of the cabinet again (taking control of the Medium's body to do so) and came towards the couch, accompanied by Arethena in a blended capacity. Arethena again noted the same irregularity in decor as she's noted on previous occasions. Chris again suggested that the Spirit Team 'correct' this sometime. Arethena replied that the boy might do it. *Chris will add a hook to the beam in question which would allow the Team to hang the bauble (which is beside the door) onto this, as Arethena desires, should they become able to do so.Arethena and John next proceeded to work with Chris's deformed finger. This is an on-going experiment by those within the Spirit world.

Several of the Spirit Team come forward to work with the finger in different ways that are invisible to us. The finger remains unchanged. We've been assured that progress is being made and that at some point John, who claims to be a Spirit Surgeon, will operate to correct the fault.

Following this demonstration John returned to the cabinet and Arethena came forward in order to write, using the Medium's hand. Arethena's handwriting is stable and the writing in a unique style which has remained consistent week after week. Following Arethena's withdrawal Mike came through. This had not been expected. However, upon his request the red light was switched on and Mike spent about 10 minutes working with the Medium for the development of direct voice phenomena.

Mike later told us that a voice box is to be constructed with ectoplasm and told us that Bernard has the expertise to help him achieve this. It is Mike's intention for his mother to be able to see him in red light, and hear him using his own voice, upon attainment of this achievement.

Bernard came forward when Mike left and spent a few minutes in conversation with us. He was followed by Joseph.

There appeared to be another communicator wishing to come forward, but for some reason Joseph wouldn't let him through. This may have been due to the fact that by this time the Medium was tired. The seance closed soon afterwards.As the Medium had had a stressful few days with 'earthly' problems it was especially appreciated that she managed to work this evening. Special thanks to her for this.

January 25th

80 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (seated within open cabinet)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Dave. Pam.

The seance began as usual, but before the end of the second piece of music it was obvious that Joseph was not coming forward as we'd expected. Instead Mike's presence was apparent. This, we learned, was due to the fact that the children were playing with the Medium's hair tie. This cord was tied tightly in place by Chris before the start of the seance. The spirit team has for some while been discussing removing this hair tie (which is made of a strong cotton cord). Mike, and the children, were present for 3 songs. During that time the red light was on. The Medium's hands were held in front of her body the whole of that time, in clear view of all witnesses.Aside from the issue of the hair tie.....Mike was also creating sounds we recognise as being relevant to the development of direct voice phenomena.

After awhile Mike withdrew and Joseph came forward. This was first indicated when he requested for the clear lighting to be turned back on. He stayed for a while to chat, using written word.

Then after a short period of adjustment John Butler approached along with Arethena. After John's able control of the vessel's body enabled her to stand, Arethena walked around the Lodge twice. She noted a splash of paint upon the blackout curtain and motioned to an irregularity of decoration. A typical woman!John's presence was less apparent than usual during the experimental healing work with Chris's finger. Arethena's presence was noted at this time, as were Bernard and Joseph's.

Later we learned that Craig had also been present and it was he that looked at Chris when she made a sound during the experiment. Craig appeared at that time to be displaying concern, in case she had felt pain. This was not the case, no pain had been felt.Aside from the interest of the healing experiment, witnesses also saw the Medium's hair tie fall off, at the same time as the words "Who's pulling my hair" was spoken. The medium's head was still at the time and all three witnesses felt it likely that the spirit children had pulled this cord off. Further demonstration at a later date may confirm this.

After the healing experiment Bernard came forward to chat. He now speaks clearly through the vessel. We asked if the hair cord had fallen off accidentally. Bernard told us that the spirit children had pulled it off. We believe Bernard, but for the the experiment to be best proven to others repetition will be required.

Bernard was followed by Joseph, who joked with Chris when she said that she had taken a fancy to Craig! Joseph giggled and said that Craig is dead! Chris responded by saying that she'd dated apparently live men who seemed to be more dead than Craig! Such banter is part of the fun theme of the Circle. A further change then took place when the Medium was taken more deeply into trance. We were told that the children were again playing within the cabinet, this time trying to ring the bells which are attached to the Medium's chair. It proved to be an unsuccessful attempt on this occasion.A very interesting evening. There are many indications that physical phenomena is beginning.

NOTE: Sandy was saying, after the seance, that Mike and the children were not intended to come forward within this seance, but the children had come through to cause this. The playfulness of the children had upset John, whose presence was not so obvious as a result. As this Circle has been set with the intention of demonstrating psychic surgery for the purpose of healing. John needs this intention to be upheld. It has been decided therefore to provide some toys within the Spirit Space circle to encourage the children forward within that setting. Joseph and FC approve of this decision.

January 13th

This afternoon some friends had the opportunity of getting together within the Lodge for an impromptu seance......

Clear lighting conditions. 55 minute seance.

Sitters and Mediums: Chris. Sandy. Jon. Laurie. Malcolm.

Sandy was seated inside the open cabinet, with the others spaced around the room. There were no plans. With so many Mediums present anything was possible! However, as soon as Sandy arrived at the house Joseph's presense was noted by both Chris and Jon.Sandy was in trance state as soon as she sat. As she was selecting the music Chris therefore reassured Joe that she was aware of his presence and impatience. It didn't help that she had to re-wind the recording tape and also hadn't turned the electricity on to enable the CD player to work! Once the seance begins Joseph is now able to sit quietly whilst the rest of the Spirit Team settle in some order around him. This is a development which is working well for those on both sides. It is far better than the previous scramble for attention which used to occur as soon as the opening prayer was spoken. Although it is now less fun to watch!

As the second piece of music ended Chris formally welcomed Joseph, who indicated that he wished to sign his name in the usual way. Through writing Joe joked a little, before withdrawing. The sounds were then heard that indicated Mike's arrival. Chris therefore changed the CD (Mike has previously requested his own music) and switched the red light on (again this is Mike's preference). For a period of two songs Mike proceeded to work with Sandy. The Spirit Team has told us that Mike is attempting to develop an ectoplasmic voice box in order to speak using his own voice. This will take time to perfect and development factors vary with each sitting.

When Mike withdrew Joseph returned for a short time before allowing Arethena to come forward. She settled to communicate through writing in her own familiar style. Chris then asked her whether John Butler would be coming through and Arethena turned aside to enquire, before withdrawing to enable him to come forward. From the start, and unusually, John had great difficulty controlling the vessell's body in order to walk around the Lodge. The vessell's chair was in an unfamiliar position (usually being placed more forward in the cabinet) and the bed had been removed, as had the familiar dome. The energy blend of the sitters was also totally unfamiliar to him. He managed to walk around twice, all the time finding this very difficult to sustain. John has always been susceptible to changes in energy within the Lodge and at no time has he been faced with so many changes all at once.

Our final communicator was Bernard. Speaking through the vessel, he gave us a little more information about himself before withdrawing.By this time it was clear that the Medium was tired and we closed the seance in our usual way.An interesting experiment.

Clear lighting conditions. 75 minute seance.

Medium: Sandy (Trance)

Sitters and witnesses: Chris. Shirley. Dave. Pam. Helena.

The evening began with Joseph proving his control of the Spirit Team by remaining quietly and firmly seated through the whole of the first two pieces of music. This allowed the team to form around him.The first communicator, following a welcoming introduction by Joseph, was the Surgeon, John Butler, with Arethena alongside him. 'Both' walked around the Lodge a couple of times before proceeding to 'work' upon Chris's finger.Apparently Craig White was observing the proceedings, as was Bernard (a recently new communicator). Chris's finger was manipulated as usual, with some movement being felt beneath the skin. No pain or discomfort was felt.

Arethena then communicated in writing. She answered many questions in this way, covering many pages. Her her writing is neatly fluid and attractive. Her signature is identical at each signing. The Medium's eyes remain closed throughout this period.

After this Bernard came forward, also communicating through writing. It has been suggested by FC that the Medium's voicebox is not being used at present due to gradual development taking place towards the creation of a separate voice box. This development necessitates the Medium's own voice box being pushed aside. This development is to become part of the work carried out within a new Circle. In fact a third Circle.

Bernard lived at the time of the First World War. He has been described by Arethena and Joseph as being a short stocky man with a hunched back. He is German. His name is pronounced 'Ber Nard'. He comes to learn, he describes himself as an encyclopedia.

After Bernard, Joseph again came forward. To too wrote replies in response to questions. Again his writing is readily recognised, his signature also identical at each signing, and all formed whilst the Medium's eyes are closed.

Finally Joseph asked for the tie to be fixed to the Medium's wrist, securing her arm to the chair. Shirley was seated opposite and had her wrist tied to her chair in the same way.Both then manipulated their wrists in an attempt to loosen the cord tie. Joseph released 'his' arm first. Shirley releasing hers soon afterwards, but with difficulty. Participants and witnesses all enjoyed this lighthearted fun.

A lovely evening. Looking forward to many more.

* HEALING EXPERIMENTS

FIRST EXPERIMENT:

October 6th 2007: Chris's deformed finger. Diagnosed as calcium deposits (beneath skin) by her GP two years ago. Picture shows deformed finger beside the same finger of the other hand.

Chris and Sandy sat together for the Spirit Team to come forward. The possibility of psychic surgery was then discussed. The Team agreed to give it a try.

Subsequently 'new' team members came forward. These are people living in the spirit world, who share an interest in healing or in surgery.

* WHY WAS THIS CIRCLE STARTED?

Chris receives communication from an energy form which she has named 'FC'. It must be said that Chris still doesn’t feel totally at ease with accepting the nature or reality of such subjective communication. However it is a fact that it was communication such as this that initially encouraged her towards building the Lodge in order to prove that conscious energy exists outside of the physical body through the enablement and display of Physical Phenomena. Without subjective communication the Lodge would not have been built. Since setting up a Spirit Circle within the Lodge such communication has continued to be of guidance when no other was available. The undeniable fact is that Physical Phenomena has occurred regularly within The Lodge since it opened in February 2007. Despite this evidence in support of mental mediumship, Chris continues to feel uncertain of the nature of spirit communication through the ‘mind’ connection, but has respect for what has been displayed to date.

Why has Spirit Friends (in its present form) been set up?

It was during July 2007 that FC started causing Chris to consider setting an Intent for the Friday group then known as 'Spirit Friends'. Healing was suggested as being a suitable intent. One of the healing methods suggested by FC was Psychic Surgery.

This would enable Physical Phenomena to be displayed in a form not previously attempted here.In order to prove Psychic Healing as evidential Physical Phenomena, ideally measurable and degenerative physical health conditions needed to become healed. These should be conditions that are considered untreatable by the current NHS.

Chris promptly made appointments to have my own hearing and eyesight checked. She was probably the only person ever to feel delighted at being told they needed both a hearing aid and spectacles! Both conditions being considered untreatable! Chris considers that whether the Spirit energy can heal these conditions is irrelevant. She has provided the necessary data required for experimentation, it is up to 'Them' whether they make evidential use of it. She's done her bit! She is now frankly bullying everyone else in the Circle to go to have NHS health checks!

It must be stressed that all forms of Spiritual healing are regarded as complementary therapy, they are not an alternative to recognised medical treatments.
